Budget-books.pngWe Have Reopened Our

Palo Alto Budget Survey

Red-Button-200.png
The May 11th City Council meeting’s agenda stated “…service impacts are unavoidable when more than 60% of the City’s General Fund budget is attributed to the outstanding workforce delivering the City’s services every day.”

Yet the overwhelming majority of respondents to our survey indicated that the budget cuts should come first from capital improvement projects, not from services. The responses from Palo Altans following the three days of budget hearings and comments in the local papers showed that there were still many people who wanted to be heard.

I have reopened my survey questionnaire to allow more of you to help guide me in assessing the issues and making the difficult and painful decisions that must be made. If you haven't already done so, I would appreciate it if you would take a few moments to fill it out. You can answer most of the questions ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but please do not hesitate to add any comments or elaborations that you feel are important and should be considered.

The results from the first round of our survey are shown in the article which follows.

Please submit your responses by the end of Saturday, May 23rd, 2020. Happy Memorial Day!!!
